Golf ponds and large ponds sealing

Large ponds, e.g.in community facilities or in the golf course construction do not really mean an increased difficulty in sealing technology. From a size of approx. 2000 qm here our PEHD liner is used. Maximum strength and optimum UV resistance and excellent physical properties guarantee the highest benefits and cost effectiveness. Large ponds are self-sufficient and technically less challenging. Nevertheless, here are the right material and the expertise of the installation important preconditions.

Sealing technic

PEHD
Starting from a size of approx. 2000 qm actually only the use of PEHD material is realy meaningful. Our PEHD-KDB, the NORDFOL-PEHD and also the NORDFOL-PEHDrc (with small recycling portion) posses the necessary characteristics to achieve a high quality and permanent sealing. We offer for this a welding wire rod for an optimal seam connection. The seams are checked with compressed air. Our mechanics have much experience with this material. We offer also the examination of our work by an independent consultant office.

EPDM India rubber
We use this material for smaller plants. Since this material does not reach the ruggedness of a PEHD sealing sheet, a higher level of protection against mechanical load must be inserted here. This can be achieved by a special ground planing and a suitable protection layer. The seam connections are vulvanized and do not reach the stability of PEHD seams. Therfore EPDM India rubber requires particularly careful work of the welding specialist in order to achieve stable and permanent seam connections.

The high flexibility of the material, which is not temperature - dependent, permits an all-season processing. A roll width from over 15 m reduces the seams to a minimum.

Also for this material we offer the complete execution of construction by our particularly trained specialist.

PVC
This plastic has already a long tradition and is a high tech product. To process in the best way with high elasticity and outstanding firmness as well as UV-stability guarantee here the desired benefits. This material is offered in a strength by 0.5 to 2 mm. Very well weldable with heading wedge and hot air. Additionally also cold-weldable with source welding flux and stickable with special adhesives such as Innotec or PVC adhesive HP300.

Here we offer the possibility of the prefabrication. This means that we prefabricate large surfaces of up to 2000 qm in our production and then move and locally weld together these separately. The weldings are reduced thereby to a minimum and we achieve a high independence from the wether.

For this we can offer also our "supervisor-system", whereby on our part only one specialized welder is used, who supervises the work and instructs the helpers made available from your side. Possibly necessary special weldings, like pipe culverts etc., can be done directly. Please contact us for further information.

Result

For large pond plants starting from a size of 2000 qm we recommend our NORDFOL-PEHD. This ensures highest firmness and is very economical. If it concers biological purification plants (planted) and / or basins with those no UV-load exists, alternatively NORDFOL-PEHDrc can be used.

A higher weather independence can be achieved with a prefabricated PVC-P sealing sheet.
